NY EDEN — Eden Zoning Board approves Sutfin storage building variance on Wepax Road. The board voted 5 to 1 to grant Nancy and Don Sutfin permission to place a storage building more than two feet forward of their primary structure at 3346 Wepax Road, in violation of Code section 225-25A (4)(b). Chair Kristin Kent, Curtis Neureuter, Douglas Scheu, Sara Buchanan, and Todd Keppler voted in favor; Herb Stockschlaeder opposed.
The Board determined the variance would not alter neighborhood character or create environmental impacts, noting multiple other Wepax Road properties have similar placements. The applicants stated the home is positioned as far back as feasible and alternative locations would require removing mature trees.
