Planning Board approves two solar projects, apartment expansion

NY EDEN — Eden Planning Board approves two solar projects totaling 7.22 megawatts. The board unanimously granted site plan approval for a 3.2-megawatt facility at 2394 West Church Street and a 4.04-megawatt facility at 2027 Eden Evans Center Road, both subject to Town Board approval of Special Use Permits and Host Community Agreements. Combined, the projects will deploy approximately 16,502 solar panels on 36.82 acres with Good Neighbor Agreements, decommissioning plans requiring 150 percent financial security, and pollinator-friendly groundcover.
The board also unanimously approved Kelly's Place apartment expansion contingent on new fencing and property maintenance.
