Planning Board conditionally approves National Grid substation project

NY EDEN — Planning Board advances two industrial projects with conditional approvals. The board unanimously recommended approval of a National Grid substation at 9733 Gowanda State Road contingent on coated black chain link fencing and final site plan approval, with 19 new trees and 11 shrubs specified for vegetative screening along Route 62. All existing Sandrock Road side screening will remain in place.

In a separate action, the board unanimously declared itself Lead Agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act for a Proline Concrete facility at 7341 Southwestern Boulevard, advancing the site plan review process.
