Planning Board requires revisions to Southwest Materials site plan

misc · Meeting of March 12, 2026

NY EDEN — Planning Board reviews site plan for retroactive improvements at Southwest Materials. The applicant presented improvements made since 2020 to the facility at 7341 Southwestern Boulevard, proposing material storage bin screening, equipment removal, internal paved driveway, and truck wash-off system to address community concerns. The Board identified deficiencies in utilities mapping, stormwater management, and air-pollution mitigation in the submitted Environmental Assessment Form.

The applicant indicated the company would not be ready for April; the Board scheduled a public hearing for June if a revised plan is submitted in May. The Board separately approved a $5,000 escrow for Evergreen Acres III, Phase I.
