Zoning Board Approves Two Utility Solar Projects

NY EDEN — Eden zoning board approves two utility-scale solar projects after environmental hurdles cleared. The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved alternative energy use variances for Eden PV LLC at 2394 West Church Street and Eden II PV LLC at 2027 Eden Evans Center Road, following the Town Board's September 10 adoption of Final Environmental Impact Statements. RIC Development LLC, the applicant, has invested over $1 million in project development, including engineering, environmental studies, and grid-interconnection expenses.
The board found that adequate grid connectivity exists through National Grid and that alternative locations in the town lack comparable utility access.
